Where to stay?
We recommend that travelers staying for a longer period of time in the Atlanta area without access to a vehicle stay at the Hotel at Avalon. Avalon is a "live, work, play" area that has direct access to many shops, restaurants, movie theater, and recreational areas. The Doubletree does not have walking distance to any nearby necessities. There will be a shuttle to the wedding from both hotels, but the shuttle for the rehearsal dinner will only depart from the Hotel at Avalon on March 24th.

With international travel top of mind, we have a hotel block starting the Monday prior to the wedding and concluding the Sunday after. Should you be arriving earlier or departing later, we are happy to contact the hotel to request and extension of the rate for the duration of your stay. Should you wish to seek an alternate option such as VRBO or AirBnB, we recommend searching for homes in the Roswell or Alpharetta areas.
Air Travel Information
Recommended airline: Delta
Delta Airlines is based out of Atlanta, Georgia in the USA. You will find there are more available flights and options possibly when booking with them because of this.
Recommended INTL flight: FRA (Frankfurt) to ATL (Atlanta)
The Atlanta airport is the closest international airport option to the wedding festivities. The flight takes (depending on winds) 8-10 hrs. You will arrive in the new international terminal at Hartsfield Jackson INTL Airport. Once exiting customs and baggage claim, you will walk directly out to where ride share services or rental car shuttles are available.
Transportation
We recommend downloading Uber or Lyft ride share apps prior to flying as these are very common and available throughout Georgia to help you get around! Should you prefer to rent a car during your stay, there are shuttles available at ground transportation to take you to your preferred rental car service. Some larger rental car companies in the US are Avis, Budget, Hertz, Enterprise, and National.
Reservable Transportation Option
We can also arranged a reservable transportation option from the airport through a driver the Woodward’s have used in the past. Should you wish to use this option, please contact a member of the Woodward family.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the wedding date by sharing your tentative RSVP so we know how many people to plan for - you will share your email as a part of the form, so we will keep you informed with any updates.
Current Schedule:
Wedding events will begin with the rehearsal dinner on Thursday and conclude by Saturday at lunch. Depending on interest and how many are in town, we will have some optional ways to tour the city on Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. When you are booking your travel, don’t hesitate to contact one of us should you have any questions.

Gate City Brewery- Roswell, GA- 4pm: Check out a local Roswell brewery right in the heart of Allie’s hometown. The brewery is located on the main street, so it will be easy to walk to shops or dinner afterwards.
Thursday, March 24th
Rehearsal (by invite) - 4pm at RUMC
Rehearsal Dinner (by invite) - 5:30pm Avalon hotel pick-up
Saturday, March 26th
Brunch, Crazy Love Cafe (Roswell, GA)- 10:00am
